This workshop aims to make you comfortable in using and telling stories in English for pupils at various levels. The workshop will be practical and experiential offering skill-based exercises. You will be equipped with the confidence to tell a story at the end of the week.
Philosophy: The use of storytelling demonstrably imbues confidence and enhances the motivation of the listening pupils. It gives them an experiential entrance into the bloodstream of their culture and the idiom of the language they are learning. Implicit in the process is that pupils themselves should be involved as storytellers, listening and telling being inseparable activities.
